Downstairs there is a large lounge with windows to front and rear, an inglenook fireplace with open fire, and stairs to the second bedroom. This room was the entire downstairs of one of the original cottages.
A small hall area gives access to the front door and on into the dining room. This also had an inglenook fireplace but this was converted into a useful storage cupboard many years ago. Next to this old fireplace is the remains of the bread oven (now used for storing wine!) and in it is an 'indicator brick' (mentioned in the listing) which apparently glowed when the oven was hot enough to bake bread.
Moving on from the dining room, a small hallway gives access to the stairs to the bedrooms and bathroom, an understairs cupboard and the downstairs toilet and the kitchen.
The kitchen is in two parts with built in storage, worktop, cooker (all electric), microwave, dishwasher etc. The rest of the kitchen is glass walled on two sides and has a glass roof. The oil fired boiler is housed in this area, as is a small prepping sink. The current owners use this area as their day to day sunny dining area.
